To disable the offline files feature for caching network files and folders using group policy, perform the following:

1. On a domain controller Start > Administrative Tools > Group Policy Management Console.

2. Navigate to where you want to create your policy, or edit an existing one.

3. Navigate to:

Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Network > Offline Files

4. Locate the "Allow or Disallow use of the Offline Files feature".

5. Set it to disabled

6. Click Apply > OK > Close the policy editor.
